How I work
How I work: from first conversation to delivery and support
A software project with Trydent runs in four steps, and you know in advance what comes next. Throughout, you work directly with me, Yvan de Wert, the engineer who builds your software.
First: a free consultation
Every project starts with a free 30-minute consultation, on site or remotely. Tell me what you're dealing with; it doesn't need to be polished. Send a message through the contact form or to info@trydent.nl and you get a reply within 24 hours.
In that conversation you hear honestly whether custom software is the right choice for you. Sometimes connecting existing systems is enough; sometimes replacing them is wiser.
1. Understand the problem
I start by listening. What's stuck, and what's that costing you every week? Then I map your current situation and we agree when the project counts as a success.
You get an overview of the current situation, agreements on what it has to deliver and a concrete proposal for the next step. If you only want advice, the project can stop here: you can carry out the advice yourself or with another team.
2. Design the solution
I design the architecture, the screens and the technical approach. You see the plan before a single line of code is written.
Which technology I propose depends on the problem. The design shows which choice I propose and why. After the first conversation you get a realistic plan with clear milestones.
3. Build and test
I build in short iterations and show you working software along the way. I test every component for security, speed and error handling before it ships.
I work hybrid. Building, testing and the check-ins in between usually happen remotely. For a kick-off, a workshop or work that goes better on site, I come over.
4. Launch and support
After delivery I stay available for training, maintenance and new requests.
By default the source code and IP stay with Trydent and you receive a licence. Source code and IP transfer is available by agreement, and escrow is possible. So you are not locked in to one supplier.
How long a project takes
It depends on the scope. A straightforward web application takes 4 to 8 weeks, a system with AI or complex integrations 3 to 6 months.
Confidential
Your business information and data stay confidential; under NDA if you prefer.
