Custom software
Custom software development for your business
At Trydent I build software around the way your business already works: planning systems, ERP and back-office systems, customer portals and web applications. You work directly with me, Yvan de Wert, the engineer who builds it.
When custom software makes sense
Custom software pays off when your processes no longer fit a standard package. Think of a company of ten to a hundred people whose planning lives in a string of Excel sheets, or where a package constantly has to be bent around the way you work.
I also build first products for founders who want a senior engineer on it before they have an in-house team.
Typical bottlenecks
Businesses usually come to Trydent with one of these problems:
- Planning and capacity run on loose spreadsheets that nobody fully trusts.
- The standard package forces a way of working that doesn't match how your orders, production or services actually run.
- Data is retyped by hand between systems, and errors follow.
- Customers and partners call or email for information that is already in your systems.
What I build
The examples below give an honest picture of the work.
By default the source code and IP stay with Trydent and you receive a licence. Source code and IP transfer is available by agreement, and escrow is possible.
- Planning systems for companies with irregular workflows.
- ERP and order management software for specialised manufacturing and processing companies, built around their own order flow.
- Internal workflow systems and operational dashboards that replace scattered Excel sheets with one reliable platform.
- Secure B2B portals and customer dashboards, connected directly to your internal databases.
How a project runs
I start by listening: what's stuck, and what's that costing you every week? Next comes a design of the architecture and user experience, so you see the plan before any code is written. The build runs in iterations with regular check-ins, and every component is tested for security, performance and reliability. After delivery I stay available for training and maintenance.
A simple web application takes 4 to 8 weeks, a system with AI or complex integrations 3 to 6 months. After the first conversation you get a realistic plan with clear milestones.
From Boxtel, I work for businesses in Den Bosch, Eindhoven and the rest of the Netherlands.

Frequently asked questions
- Why should I have custom software built instead of adapting a standard package?
- A standard package is made for an average business. If your processes differ substantially, you keep working around the package with extra spreadsheets and manual work. Custom software follows how you work. In the introductory call you hear honestly whether custom software is the right choice for you.
- Who owns the software?
- By default the source code and IP stay with Trydent, and you receive a licence to use the software. Source code and IP transfer is available by agreement, and escrow is possible. So you are not locked in to one supplier.
- Can I have custom software built as a startup?
- Yes. I have worked with founders building their first product and with established companies replacing legacy systems. What counts is the problem, not the size of your company.
