Technical consulting
Technical consulting for software and architecture
At Trydent I give honest technical advice on architecture, technology choices and the next step for your software. The advice comes directly from me, Yvan de Wert, a senior software engineer with a Master's in Applied IT and 7+ years of experience.
Who technical consulting is for
Technical consulting is for two kinds of client. The first is the business owner without an IT department who has to choose between a package, a supplier or a custom build, and wants it explained without jargon. The second is the CTO, lead developer or IT manager who wants someone else to look over an architecture or a plan.
Questions businesses bring
A few examples of what a consulting engagement covers:
- An architecture that needs reviewing before more is built on top of it.
- The choice between a standard package and custom software.
- A legacy system that needs replacing or connecting.
- A technology choice for a new product, such as a web application or a mobile app.
- Whether AI automation makes sense for a particular process.
Advice from someone who builds it
I have designed and built planning systems, ERP software and AI tools that run in production. That experience shapes the advice: it is about what works in practice, for a business of your size.
You get an overview of the current situation, an agreed goal and a concrete proposal for the next step.
How it works
It starts with a free 30-minute consultation. I listen first: what's stuck, and what's that costing you every week? Next comes an overview of the current situation and a proposal. If you want the advice carried out, I can also handle the design, build and delivery.
From Boxtel, I work for businesses in 's‑Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven and the rest of the Netherlands, on site or remotely.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I ask for advice only, without Trydent building afterwards?
- Yes. Technical consulting is a separate service. You can carry out the advice yourself or with another team. If you want me to take on the build, that is possible too.
- Can Trydent review my existing architecture?
- Yes, that is what this service is for. Your code and business information stay confidential; under NDA if you prefer.
- I'm not technical. Is advice still useful?
- Yes. The conversation starts with your business, not the technology: what's stuck, and what's that costing you every week? You work directly with me, with no account managers in between.
