App development
Mobile app development for your business
At Trydent I build iOS and Android apps that connect to your existing systems: natively in Swift and Kotlin, or with Flutter when one codebase for both platforms fits better. I choose native when, for example, the app needs deep device access.
Who it is for
For businesses whose employees, customers or partners work with your systems on the move. Think of a technician closing out a job, a driver confirming a delivery or a customer tracking an order. And for founders who want a first app built by a senior engineer.
An app that fits what is already there
A business app rarely stands on its own. Its value is in the connection to your planning, ERP or customer portal. Because I also build backends and integrations, the app and your systems fit together. Where needed, I also build the web side or the back office, with Vue.js, React or Next.js.
- Native apps in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android), or one Flutter codebase for both.
- Connections to your existing systems through APIs.
- A backend in Laravel, Python or Node.js when one doesn't exist yet.
- Testing for security, performance and reliability before the app goes live.
iOS, Android or Flutter?
For iOS development I work natively in Swift, and for an Android app in Kotlin; for apps that must work the same on both platforms, I often choose Flutter. Which route fits depends on what the app has to do on the device.
How an app project runs
I start by listening: what should the app solve, and for whom? Next comes a design of the screens and the technical approach, so you see the plan before any code is written. The build runs in iterations with regular check-ins. After launch I stay available for training and maintenance.
By default the source code and IP stay with Trydent and you receive a licence. Transfer is available by agreement.
From Boxtel, I work for businesses in Den Bosch, Tilburg and the rest of the Netherlands.

Frequently asked questions
- Does Trydent build native apps or use Flutter?
- Both. I choose native Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) when the app needs deep device access, such as Bluetooth, sensors or background tasks, when it needs maximum performance, or when it has to fit an existing native app or your own development team. Otherwise I build with Flutter: one codebase for iOS and Android, which saves development time.
- Can the app work with my existing systems?
- Yes, that is what it is for. I connect the app to your existing systems through APIs and build the integration where needed.
- Does the data in the app stay confidential?
- Yes. Your data stays confidential, and every part of the app is tested for security before it goes live.
- Who maintains the app after launch?
- I do. After delivery I stay available for training, maintenance and new requests.
